Direction the Class needs

In class I think we should have more group activities,i agree with everyone else,I say this because the group activities are fun and they are quicker to do. I also think that we should have more options on extra credit.That would help a lot. I think that we should have more read alouds so that everyone can get a chance a reading. Even though i don't like to raise my hand when the person is being called to read,you can still call on me. I think that would help me read better,and louder.Other than that i like how the class is going. Its a good class and we have great class discussions.
Also i think we should have more Journal questions,they are kind of fun to do. Even though sometimes i don't know how to answer them,but i still think they are fun.It helps me think harder and concentrate on the problem or question.Well that is all I have to say. Until next time!!

Holden

In the Catcher in the rye, by  J.D. Salinger, the main character is Holden Caulfield. He's 16 years old and a junior at this school named Pencey academy.In the story he gets expelled from the school because of his bad grades.He's a pretty smart guy but just doesn't do the work he's asked to do. He hunts for phonies in the book and he tries to protect the innocent people.

 In my opinion,i think Holden is a good person,or he could be a better person because of just they fact that he tries to protect innocent people.I think that he could stop a couple of his habits,like smoking or getting drunk and all.But other than that he would kind of be like a normal person. Holden probably had a rough childhood with his younger brother,Allie,dying.That probably led him to his habits.
 I think as we continue reading we will get to know Holden a little better,and see what he does.I think he will probably change.But ill guess we'll find out soon.

Winter Poem

When it gets cold outside
I know that it is winter
I can tell that it is
by the numbness of my fingers

The snow comes down
When its dark at night
Then when i awake
The day is really bright

I go outside
the snow is to my knees
Then my mom tells me
"Go dress warmer or you're gonna freeze!!"

My Red Hunting Hat

In the book The Catcher in the Rye, Holden has this red hunting hat that he keeps with him. Holden's says he hunts people with the hat. The type of people he hunts are the phonies . If i were to say what my red Hunting hat was for it would be to hunt down my life goals and achievements.The things that would help me become more successful in life rather then the things that would bring me down. I wouldn't use my hunting hat like Holden,to hunt out the phonies,because that would be a waste of time. I would hunt out the people that aren't phonies so i could tell the difference between the people that are phony and not phony.But i guess everyone becomes phony at times or act phony.But as i said before i would use my red hunting hat to track down my life goals and achievements. I guess thats all i have to say...until next time!!

Thankful for a Classmate

Hmmm...I cant choose who makes me class better,so i'm not going to choose. I think everyone makes the class better in some type of way.Everyone haves a part in the class starting with the joking and outgoing people to the quiet and lazy people.I'm actually thankful for the all the people in my class.
Im thankful for Lexi cause she helps me a lot with my notes. Im thankful for Ane because she always want to read aloud in the classroom,which leaves me time not to read aloud. Im thankful for McKinley because Mr.McCarthy always calls on him and he always debates on something,which is kind of funny.Thankful for Harlan and his Zombies,but also how he makes good debates. Jack and Arliss because he make me laugh in class which kind of keep me awake.And Erwin and Amber because they are a big help in group work. But im thankful for everyone in the class as i mentioned earlier.So far in this year the class has been interesting in a way,but i guess ill explain that a little later.Until next time!
